The Catch is a Foreign Policy podcast that dives into the controversial and often unseen world of global squid fishing. For this project, I designed a custom logo featuring a hand drawn custom typeface inspired by old fishing and nautical film posters.

In addition to the logo, I created a series of illustrations in the same style for an animated motion advertisement, ensuring cohesive branding across all visual assets. Foreign Policy reached out to me after the project to add additional sea creature illustrations in part of promoting later seasons of the podcast, along with creating a Spanish version of the logo.

Initial Concept sketches for The Catch logo. I was experimenting with net and fishing concepts. We decided to move forward with the first option because of its clearer messaging.
